Mem Fox

We are so fortunate to have Mem Fox read to the whole school today. The students and staff thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to listen to a well renowned author. I wish to thank Mrs Jenny Mountney, East Devonport Child and Family Learning Centre for organising Mem’s visit to our school.

School Satisfactory Survey

A huge thank you to the parents who completed the Family Satisfaction survey; your feedback is so important and is analysed to guide the School Association and the East Devonport Primary School leadership and staff. We had 44 parents complete the survey; a fantastic number. This is a 30% increase in participation on last year’s survey.  Thank you to the parents who completed the survey on school site or on device/mobile at home and sent in their snapshot of completion. The draw was conducted on Monday, with Gail McLaren (School Business Manager) supervising the draw. Congratulations to the following prize winners: 1st - Rikki Watters, 2nd - Diane Fraser, 3rd Janelle Lycett.

Pie Drive

Our annual pie drive raised over $2200 for the Year 6 Big Day Out. A huge thank you to all who sent in their pie order. They will be available for pick up this Thursday (2:30pm). If you cannot pick up on Thursday, Mrs Gail McLaren will hold and arrange for Friday. 

A huge thank you to our top four fundraisers Ronan, Shelby, Oliver G and Matt who each raised over $400 and will receive their thank you prize on Thursday.

Evidence of Learning Parent meetings

Reminder that parents can book in to attend a parent/teacher meeting with a focus on a piece of work their child has completed during term. I highly recommend, making an appointment with their class and/or specialist teacher to hear about your child’s learning, what they can do and what they will be learning next. If you have not made an appointment, please log in to https://eastdevonportps.schoolzineplus.com/view-session/9 or contact the office. Bookings are available until 5pm Wednesday 27 September. If unable to make these times contact your child's class teacher/specialist to arrange an alternative time.

Staffing for Term 4

Mrs Wendy Stevens and Mrs Karen Graham will return from Long Service Leave, starting day 1. We look forward to their return and hearing about their travel adventure.
