Hi, I’m Nardia Broomhall, and I’m proud to be joining East Devonport Primary School as Principal.
I’ve worked in education for more than 25 years, most recently as an Inclusive Practice Coach supporting schools across the northwest coast. My focus has been on helping teachers and staff build strong relationships, support student wellbeing, and create inclusive classrooms where every child can thrive. I’m passionate about supporting schools to create learning environments where every child feels safe, included, and able to succeed, and where learning is accessible for all.
I live with my family in Don, and when I’m not at school, I enjoy gardening and reading. These quiet moments help me recharge and reflect, and they remind me of the importance of growth, curiosity, and care—values I bring into my work with students and staff.
For the rest of this year, I’m looking forward to working closely with our families, staff, and students to build a strong, connected school community. My hope is that every child feels proud of who they are, confident in their learning, and supported every step of the way.
Please feel free to reach out, say hello, or have a chat—I’d love to get to know you and hear what matters most to you and your family.
Please see the document that has been taken out of the schools uniform policy. We would like to remind parents that students are to follow the uniform policy which includes the wearing of false nails and makeup. If you have any questions please contact the school.
We will be doing our Pie Drive again this year. Order forms will be going home with students on Monday Septerber 1. Monies raised from the Pie Drive will go towards supporting our Year 6 Leavers event.
Another fantastic Book Week this year. We celebrated with mystery readers and a wonderful parade. Well done to everyone for the fantastic efforts again this year.
Vietnam Veteran's commemorative service
Today two of our SRC Executive represented East Devonport Primary School at the Vietnam Veteran's Day commemorative service accompanied by Mr Perry and Miss Thow. Students attended the Devonport Vietnam War memorial to commemorate and reflect on Australia’s involvement in the Vietnam War and to lay a wreath on behalf of the school.
