Principals Report
What an amazing few weeks we have had at East Devonport Primary School. We have been extremely busy planning for 2025 whilst also getting ready for all the exciting things still to come in 2024.
Our Remembrance Day assembly was a wonderful tribute to those people who have served our country. It was wonderful to have members of Devonport Rotary join us to share a reading about the true importance of the day. Our students showed great respect throughout the whole ceremony a great credit to them.

Last Thursday night was a fantastic showcase of our very talented Choir who entertained at the ‘LovEast Devonport” event. They sang 5 songs and pushed through some minor hiccups to really show just what an amazing group of young people they are. Well, done! It was also great to have a stall showcasing some of our students work. Thanks to Mrs Lee’s support of the choir and to all staff who assisted with the stall. Please don’t forget that there are still raffle tickets available if you would like to purchase them. Please see the office staff.
I was very proud to see all the work staff and students had put into our Christmas Panel which was painted for the Devonport Christmas display in the mall. Students in the art club worked with Mrs Buckley in their lunch breaks to complete the panel. Again, this is another fantastic example of the excellent standards our students are able to produce.

Today I had the great privilege of attending the Children University graduation ceremony. This was a fantastic acknowledgement of the work these students have put in throughout the year to achieve such a wonderful result. Well, done to all involved.
Please don’t forget our Christmas Lunches next week for families to join students and members of the community for a true Christmas feast. Thank to Keith and Katrina and all our Tas Tafe students who are working tirelessly to put this event on. Please make sure to RSVP to the office if you have not already.
Staff are getting ready for all our end of year celebrations coming up over the next few weeks. Please make sure you keep yourself updated on See Saw and through the office with all requirements.
End of year reports will be sent home on the 6th of December. The reports will also have a copy of your child’s 2025 class letter.
Finaly a reminder that the Car Park at the front of the school is for staff parking only. Can I please request that families drop off and pick up students without using the carpark.
It really is an exciting time of the year and we hope that we all can enjoy the next few weeks at school and celebrate all the amazing things the students at East Devonport Primary School have achieved throughout the year.
